Predator (Electric Print and Apply Labeling System)

Let-Off Supply Hub

Holds up to 14" OD roll and dispenses label materials.

Tamp Head

Platform used to position and hold the presented label prior to application.

Waste Take-Up

Collects the waste liner after labels are printed. This component DOES NOT pull the label material through the print engine.

Print Engine

Pulls the label material into itself, prints on the provided labels, dispenses the printed label onto the tamp head, and guides waste liner to the Waste Take-Up.

Operator Display (HMI)

Main touch screen interface used by operators for maintenance and verifying or adjusting operation of the Predator portion of the labeling system.

Applicator Rack (Inside)

Component of the system used in conjunction with the applicator motor to apply labels.

Low Label Sensor

Used to detect when unused labels have become low on the roll.

Brake Arm

Works in conjunction with the Let-Off Supply Hub to control the supply of labels to the print engine.

Main Plate

Base component of the Predator that all assemblies are mounted to, creating the overall print and apply system.

Fan Shroud

Creates a vacuum to hold the printed label on the tamp head, before they are applied.

Applicator Shroud

Cover (housing) for the applicator rack.

Idle Roller

Used in conjunction with the Brake Arm and Let-Off Supply Hub to route labels into the print engine.

Print Engine Display

Used to review and/or change settings within the print engine.

Cradle Arm

Used in the cradle assembly as a mounting support for the Predator system.

Applicator Handle Clamp

Controls the vertical adjustment of the applicator assembly.

Control Box

Houses the electrical components of the Predator system.

Fuse Drawer

Installed in the Power Switch and used to hold the main AC power fuse.

Power Switch

Controls the Main AC power and allows the system to be turned on and off.

Print Engine

Pulls the label material into itself, prints on the provided labels, dispenses the printed label onto the tamp head, and guides waste liner to the Waste Take-Up.

Take-Up Motor

Drives the Waste Take-Up to collect the waste liner from the Print Engine.

Applicator Motor

Used in conjunction with the applicator rack to electrically drive the rack and tamp head combination to apply a printed label to an item.

Home Sensor

Indicates that the tamp head is in the “home” position and potentially ready to receive a printed label.

Phantom (Pneumatic Print and Apply Labeling System)

Operator Display (HMI)

Main touch screen interface used by operators for maintenance and verifying or adjusting operation of the Phantom portion of the labeling system.

Let-Off Supply Hub

Holds up to 14" OD roll and dispenses label materials.

Brake Arm

Works in conjunction with the Let-Off Supply Hub to control the supply of labels to the print engine.

Air Assist Tube

As the label is being printed, it provides pneumatic assistance to correctly present the label to the tamp head.

Applicator Cylinder

Drives the tamp head pneumatically to apply a printed label to the item.

Home Sensor

Indicates that the tamp head is in the “home” position and potentially ready to receive a printed label.

Applicator Adjust (V)

Allows vertical adjustment of the applicator cylinder/tamp head to position the tamp head correctly in relation to the Print Engine’s peel bar.

Applicator Adjust (H)

Allows horizontal adjustment of the applicator cylinder/tamp head for alignment with labels as they are printed.

Low Label Sensor

Used to detect when unused labels have become low on the roll.

Generates a vacuum that holds a printed label on the tamp head before the label is applied to the product.

Solenoid Valves

Pneumatic controls for the Phantom. When activated, they operate the Applicator, Vacuum Generator, or Air Assist Tube.

Take-Up Motor

Drives the Waste Take-Up to collect the waste liner from the Print Engine.

Visual indication of the P8e's status. Also equipped with an audible alarm for when the system is in an error condition.
